Lemon Baked Pasta

This is lovely bake pasta dish for weeknight and weekend, It’s so simple but so delicious. Serve them with a big salad on the side or turn into a complete meal themselves.

The dish involves browning butter garlic black pepper, and shrimp pieces. Combination with a spoon of lemon juice mix of them smell so good, bake with the cheese on top and magic of delicious does happen.

Variations

  • You can add extra Mozzarella cheese for lovely taste.
  • Substitute finely diced chicken breast for the shrimps.
  • Add the pineapple slices with the grilled lemon.
  • Grill the pineapple slices until they’re still firm and nice grill marks for to 4 minutes each side.

Crowd-Sized Pasta Dish

Substitute a sheet pan for 4 bake dishes. This crowd-sized pasta dish is perfect from start to finish. First, mist it with cooking spray, pour in the mixture, scraping in a sheet pan, top with the cheese, then bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the top golden. The same method just baked it a bit more time, because of the sheet pan bigger than the baked dish.

Fusilli, my go-to pasta for this recipe. The thin curly shape holds on to the sauce, and it’s always a fun shape.

Al dente pasta is what most Italian chefs, and home cooks is needed when making pasta dishes, and it works for all shapes and sizes. It’s favorite way to cook al dente, pasta will still hold its shape and texture even when baked or coated in sauce.

    Most pasta packages will provide cooking times for cooking al dente. If not, turn off the heat about 2 to 3 minutes before the cooking duration it does provide.

    Lemon Baked Pasta

    Makes 4 Servings

    Ingredients

    • 250g dried fusilli pasta (cook al dente)
    • 1 teaspoon garlic clove, minced
    • a pinch of ground black pepper
    • a small pinch of salt
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 cup fresh milk
    • 200g peeled shrimps, cut into a bite size
    • ½ medium onion, finely sliced
    • 1 lemon for grilled
    • 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
    • juice of ½ lemon
    • ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
    • ¼ cup grated red cheddar cheese
    • 2 cups green salads, leaf

    Directions

    1. First up, to prepare the lemon grilling, carefully cut off the top and bottom. Cut each piece of lemon into neat slices and keep going until all the fruit is sliced.
    2. Preheat the grilled pan over the high heat, lay on the lemon slices on the pan, let them cook for 2 minutes of each side, or it has great color. remove from the pan, set aside for later.
    3. Cook the pasta according the package direction and drained.
    4. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 375 ˚F.
    5. In the large skillet, melt the butter over the medium heat. Add the garlic and pepper, and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes to allow the flavor to be released, then add the shrimps and fry for 4 to 5 minutes, or until golden.
    6. Add the drained pasta into the mixture, toss over a low heat 1 minute. Pour in the fresh milk, small pinch of salt, lemon zest and lemon juice.
    7. Toss the pan for 2 minutes to emulsify the mixture, and remove from the heat.
    8. Divide the pasta to 4 baked dishes, making sure to get all the creamy sauce in the dish bake and top with mozzarella cheese follow by red cheddar cheese.
    9. Bake until the cheese golden on top and around the edges, for 10 to 15 minutes. (Look at the top, it doesn’t get too brown.)
    10. serve it with salad and a piece of grille lemon.
